CSC-20: New product family of decentralised CO2 controls

Wherever CO2 is used, reliable personal and plant protection is very important. However, in building services engineering, the air quality and human well-being can also be increased significantly by controlled domestic ventilation. For this reason, decentralised and automatic controls, based on the CO2 concentration, are ideal solutions in this respect.

The flexible connection concept with separate connections for supply and exhaust air elements ensures that both of the applications described above can be fully met. Besides 230 V actuators, 0...10 V EC motors as well as multi-stage fans can also be controlled in an automated, needs-based way.

Front view CO2 control CSC-20 YUGO

The CSC-20 YUGO has an integrated CO2 sensor with a measuring range of up to 10,000 ppm and is therefore suitable for applications in mechanical and plant engineering as well as for building services engineering. Appropriate limit and switching values for the respective application can be configured via the display and the operating keys of the CO2 control. But automatic ventilation is not the only operating mode - the integrated timer function also allows for individual ventilation cycles. For more information on the operating modes, please read the next sections.

Overview gas detection

Fields of application of COcontrols and switches

Wherever people spend long periods of time indoors, the CO2 level increases.

Houses and buildings

  • Fitness studios
  • Sports halls
  • Meeting rooms
  • Nursery schools, classrooms, lecture halls
  • Basement flats and cellar floors
  • and many more

Industry and commerce

  • Machine halls
  • Electrical rooms
  • Dry ice machines
  • Storage halls
  • Workshops
  • Agriculture
  • Close to motors
  • Where combustion processes take place
  • Storage and ripening of fruit and vegetables

Operating modes and supported actuators

Automatic mode with hysteresis

When the set CO2 limit value is reached, the actuators are triggered automatically.

If the CO2 concentration has dropped to a safe or healthy level below the limit value, the actuators are automatically switched off again.

Manual mode Enables the actuators to be switched on independently from the currently measured CO2 concentration.
Pause mode    Interrupts the automatic mode and switches off the actuators.
Configuration mode While the device will be configured, the actuators remain switched off.
Error mode In case of a sensor error, the device switches to the error mode. Then, the actuators remain or are switched off.
